Grand Avenue Reconstruction
Grand Avenue between Fairview and Snelling Avenues will be closed through Fall 2025.
Construction for this project will be completed in two phases while maintaining access to businesses and Macalester College:
- Section 1: April-October 2025, Fairview Avenue to Cambridge Street
- Section 2: May-August 2025, Cambridge Street to Snelling Avenue

Rice Street between Pennsylvania Avenue and Wheelock Parkway is under construction from Spring 2025 to Fall 2027 through three phases:
- Phase One (Spring 2025-Fall 2025): Wheelock to the north side of Maryland Avenue
- Phase Two (Spring 2026-Fall 2026): Maryland Avenue to the north side of the Manitoba Avenue and Pennsylvania Avenue intersection
- Phase Three (Spring 2027-Fall 2027): Manitoba Avenue to Pennsylvania Avenue
