Celebrate the start of the new year in the capital city! Head to Rice Park for a family-friendly celebration featuring live music from the Red Bull DJ Truck before a disco puck drop and vibrant firework show around 8 p.m., following the USA vs. Sweden World Junior hockey game at Grand Casino Arena.
The World's Largest Hockey Puck is in the Capital City of the State of Hockey! The iconic puck stands at 22.2 feet long (beating the former record of 20 feet), 7.5 feet tall, and a whopping 5,000 pounds—a true testament to Saint Paul's love for the game. This community project was fabricated by Wonder Studio, a fabrication workshop of the Eclective Creative Collective, and was made possible by youth hockey players, families, and local businesses.
