Raise your stein high at the Germanic-American Institute's annual St. Paul Oktoberfest, where Bavarian traditions spring to life with live music and nonstop fun for the whole family. Admission is free and adults 21 and older can purchase a $10 wristband for beer and wine.

The founder and first brewer of the original Hamm's Brewery were German immigrants. The brewery opened in September, so Oktoberfest is a celebratory occasion here for more than one reason. Enjoy our Fest Bier, our Marzen Style Oktoberfest, Riesling, German food specials, and of course the annual Stein Hold competition and other fun games on the most beautiful patio within the ruins of the Hamm's horse stables. the spacious Biergarten fills with the sounds of polka music and the aroma of freshly baked pretzels. Test your skills in keg bowling, compete in stein holding contests, or attempt the pretzel thrusting challenge, all while enjoying craft beer.
