Saturday, March 9

LuckyPalooza on West 7th: 2-11 p.m. in the street, tent parties until midnight

Get your party on early at LuckyPalooza on West 7th with musical performances, food, drinks, mechanical bull rides, Ride MN extreme sports activations and a rocking good time!

Saturday, March 16 - Day before St. Patrick's Day

53rd Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade in Downtown Saint Paul: Noon

The mack daddy of St. Patrick's celebrations in the Capital City, you won't want to miss the St. Patrick's Association's 53rd annual parade. Check out our Parade guide for all the details. 

Irish Music and Dance Association's 37th Annual St. Patrick's Day Irish Celebration at Landmark Center: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This annual family-friendly event features regional and local Irish entertainment, dance, Celtic vendors, Irish cuisine, pipe bands, children's crafts and more.

Minnesota Wild Tailgate Party at Seven Corners Lot outside Xcel Energy Center: Noon to 10 p.m.

Fans attending either of the Wild's games, March 16-17, or coming downtown to celebrate St. Patrick's Day can join the NHL club for a pair of tailgate parties presented by Just Bare Chicken. The free, open-to-the-public celebrations will feature a heated tent with a DJ, food, beverages, prizes and giveaways, the opportunity to play Sauce Toss, an NHL alumni appearance, and Wild St. Patrick's Day merchandise for sale from the Hockey Lodge.

St. Patrick's Celebration at Keg and Case West 7th Market: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

This St. Patrick's weekend, Keg and Case is partnering with Morrissey's Irish Pub for a family-friendly tent party featuring Irish food, drinks, music, dance, bagpipes and more. 

George Scot McKelvey and DJ Ganzobean at Birch's Lowertown: 7-11 p.m.

Unwind with Scot McKelvey’s “Luck of the Irish” acoustic set in the Taproom (7-10 p.m.) or amp up at the St. Patrick’s Eve Party with DJ Ganzobean in the Barrel House (8-11 p.m.).

12th Annual St. Patrick's Tent Party at Bennett's Chop & Railhouse: 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Bennett's becomes O'Bennett's for this St. Patrick's Tent Party featuring live music and Irish food and drink specials all day (and the Friday night before). 

Brian Boru Irish Pipe Band Tour

Catch the talented Brian Boru Irish Pipe Band, featuring an Irish dancer at the following locations around Saint Paul:

  • 10:45 a.m.: Shamrocks
  • Noon: St. Patrick's Day Parade (Downtown St. Paul)
  • 12:30 p.m.: IMDA Celebration at Landmark Center
  • 1 p.m.: The Liffey
  • 2:15 p.m. Lowertown Bulldog
  • 4:15 p.m.: Dunham's West St. Paul
  • 6 p.m & 11p.m.: Shamrocks

St. Patrick's Celebration at Shamrocks

Shamrocks will be shamrockin' all St. Patrick's Weekend with a tent party and tons of live music:

  • Indoor music (12 p.m..to close)
    • Hannah Followers (12-4 p.m.)
    • Tom Dahill (5-8 p.m.)
    • The Whiskies (9 p.m. to close)
  • Tent music: Paddywagon (3-7:30 p.m.)

Irish Heritage Weekend at James J. Hill House: 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Explore the Irish heritage of one of the most influential families of the Gilded Age. Mary Theresa Mehegan, the daughter of Irish immigrants, wed James Jerome Hill, a young Canadian immigrant of Scotch-Irish stock, who went on to achieve incredible success and fortune with the Great Northern Railway. Theme tours include favorite Irish songs, organ music and needlework demonstrations. Stories of the Hills and their servants (many of them Irish) will engage visitors in the history of Irish-Americans in Minnesota.

Get Lucky Races at CHS Field

Start St. Patrick's weekend off right with the 11th annual Get Lucky 7K, 14K & 21K (Half) races. 

Irish Dancing Lessons with Miranda Shaughnessy at Can Can Wonderland: 11 a.m.to 3 p.m.

If you've always wanted to know how to Irish dance (or at least have wanted to try), this is your chance! Join Miranda Shaughnessy for basic technique and lots of fun. Stick around or pop back in the evening for craft cocktails, and mini-golf. 

Live Music at Mancini's: Riverside Hitmen 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

St. Patrick's Day Tent Party at Burger Moe's: 2.-10:30 p.m. 

Burger Moe's will keep West 7th rockin' with their annual St. Patrick's Day tent party, featuring live music and more.

St. Patrick's Day at Shamrocks

    • Legacy Celtic Trio (1-5 p.m.)
    • Release the Craicen (6-9 p.m.)
  • Tent music: Paddywagon (3-8 p.m.)

A day of Irish dance for the entire family featuring four stages of entertainment.

Kickin' It Irish at Celtic Junction Arts Center

An Irish dance and live music performance featuring O'Shea Irish Dance and the Two Tap Trio with artistic direction by Natalie O'Shea. Kickin' It Irish thrills us with traditional to contemporary Irish dancing with bodhrán, Irish flute, guitar and fiddle.

World's Worst Irish Tenor Contest at Mancini's: March 13, 7 p.m.

Pretty much exactly what it sounds like. Bad singers everywhere are invited to try their luck at being the worst Irish tenor around. Whether you perform or just bear witness, Saint Paul's quirkiest St. Patrick's tradition is worth checking out.
