Overview
Visitors to the Twin Cities can easily take the Metro Transit bus and METRO light rail transit system to get around the Twin Cities. Easy access and inexpensive fares make the public transportation system within the Twin Cities one of the nation's finest. Riders can order a $5 Visitor Pass in advance for a full day of rides (bulk discounts are available). Riding to an event and back? Purchase a 6-Hour Pass at any METRO station or use the Metro Transit app.
Bus routes take you across the metro region. For frequent service in the core cities, the METRO Blue Line travels between downtown Minneapolis, the airport, and Mall of America; the METRO Green Line connects downtown Minneapolis to downtown Saint Paul via the University of Minnesota.
From the airport to downtown St. Paul
Take a Route 54 bus from Terminal 1 to downtown St. Paul (Travel time is about 20 minutes)
To reach the airport from downtown St. Paul, board Route 54 traveling west on 7th Street.
From the airport to Mall of America
Take a southbound METRO Blue Line train to Mall of America. (Travel time is about 13 minutes)
