Join in the Rotunda for a historic nationwide initiative as citizens across all 50 states, territories, and the District of Columbia unite to read the Declaration of Independence. Commemorating the 250th anniversary of the first public reading on July 8, 1776, this reading celebrates our shared principles and reflects on the unalienable rights of Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness which continue to define the American spirit today.

This event is hosted by the Governor’s Committee for Minnesota America 250 in partnership with the Minnesota Historical Society.
