Twenty-plus years of stories that hit way too close to home, and one of the most beloved figures in Twin Cities comedy is bringing them all to Laugh Camp. Chris Maddock is a Minneapolis-based comedian who hosted the legendary Death Comedy Jam at Grumpy's Bar for 15 years, a weekly showcase that launched careers and hosted names like Maria Bamford, Doug Stanhope, and Andy Kindler, and is now the subject of the documentary Death's Last Stand. He's released two albums on the Grammy Award-winning Stand Up! Records, the latest being Country Music Legend (2020), which hit #5 on the iTunes comedy chart. He's competed in the San Francisco Comedy Competition and was named Stand-Up Comic of the Year by City Pages. His comedy is autobiographical, sharply written, and often accompanied by live guitar, this is Minnesota's own, at the top of his game.
Featuring Sam Bondhus, a deaf/hard of Hearing comedian from Minnesota whose one-of-a-kind perspective on disability and daily life has earned him a 2022 Duluth Roast Battle championship, a semifinalist spot in Acme's Funniest Person Contest, and a feature on Fox 9.
