Harriet Island
Overview
Named after a pioneer school teacher, Harriet Island was gifted to the Saint Paul community by Dr. Justus Ohage in 1900 as a recreational space to benefit the community. Harriet Island has been the grounds for hundreds of festivals, events, and weddings because of its scenic views of the bluffs of Saint Paul and the mighty Mississippi. Harriet Island Regional Park features a 5,000 square-foot year-round rental facility including free parking, a stage, and Padelford Riverboat cruises. From the EcoArts Festival to the annual Irish Fair, Harriet Island is center stage for highlight performances and events of the summer.
