Overview
The Bach Society of Minnesota opens its 95th season with Salsa Baroque, a vibrant fusion of Baroque Spain and Latin America, blending European elegance with African- and Indigenous-influenced rhythms.
A highlight is the American premiere of Spanish composer Antonio Soler’s newly reconstructed Recorder Concerto, one of the recorder repertoire’s most technically demanding works. Bach Society Artistic Director Matthias Maute reconstructed the concerto specifically for this season-opening performance.
