Overview
Experience Historic Fort Snelling as you never have before! Lanterns & Legends features an hour-long tour of the historic fort by lantern light. Knowledgeable guides will lead visitors through lesser known true stories of Fort Snelling’s history. Along the way, groups will step into these stories as costumed interpretive staff recount events in first-person, based on historic accounts.
Tours start at 6 p.m. each night and occur every 15 minutes until 8 p.m. The front gate of the historic fort will open at 5:30 p.m. so attendees can arrive prior to their tour time. Beverages will be available for purchase in the Sutler Store, and guests can warm up by the bonfire before and after their tour.
Recommended for ages 12+.
