"The Narrows" is a novel about the unexpected ways people find their way back to one another-and how redemption often begins with the simple decision to hold on for another season.
Don Smithmier is a songwriter, entrepreneur, and unapologetic American history nerd. He lives in Minneapolis with his wife, Annie, and spends as much time as possible at their cabin in northwestern Wisconsin, listening for the call of the loon. "The Narrows" is his first novel.
