Designed and created by Wonder Studio, a fabrication workshop of the Eclective Creative Collective and the brains behind Can Can Wonderland, Saint Paul Brewing, Martha's Gardens Floral Studio, and Dark Horse Bar and Eatery.
Wonder Studio is a team of six employees specialized in welding, CNC, laser cutting, 3D printing, graphic design, painting, woodwork, metal work, build-out construction, and more.
Puck Drop Celebration
Celebrate the start of the new year in the capital city! Head to Rice Park for a family-friendly celebration featuring live music from the Red Bull DJ Truck before a disco puck drop and vibrant firework show around 8 p.m., following the USA vs. Sweden World Junior hockey game at Grand Casino Arena.
IIHF World Juniors Hockey Tournament
Tournament Games
The Capital City of the State of Hockey welcomes the IIHF World Juniors Hockey Championship Tournament from December 26-January 5.
The tournament features 29 games, three of which are on New Years Eve, across 10 days of action featuring the best under-20 players in the world.

- Switzerland vs. Slovakia at 12 p.m. at Grand Casino Arena
- Czechia vs. Latvia at 2:30 p.m. at 3M Arena at Mariucci
- USA vs. Sweeden at 5 p.m. at Grand Casino Arena
Bold North Breakaway Fan Festival
This free, 10-day IIHF World Juniors fan fest brings the spirit of the tournament off of the ice. Celebrate the spirit of Minnesota hockey with interactive games, live entertainment, iconic photo ops, a market to shop, and winter fun for all ages at this festival at Rice Park and inside the Saint Paul RiverCentre.
Plus, enjoy an awe-inspiring firework show following the USA vs. Sweden. Fireworks are expected to launch around 8 p.m.

World's Largest Hockey Puck
The World's Largest Hockey Puck is in the Capital City of the State of Hockey! The iconic puck stands at 22.2 feet long (beating the former record of 20 feet), 7.5 feet tall, and a whopping 5,000 pounds—a true testament to Saint Paul's love for the game. This community project was fabricated by Wonder Studio, a fabrication workshop of the Eclective Creative Collective, and was made possible by youth hockey players, families, and local businesses.
