SAINT PAUL, Minn. (December 5, 2024)—Happy National Comfort Food Day! In honor of this
delicious holiday, Visit Saint Paul is introducing the “Dumpling Passport,” a collection of over 30
delicious eateries across the Capital City that feature dumplings on their menus. The passport invites locals and visitors to try new cuisines, explore different neighborhoods, and discover hidden gems.
“Dumplings are a universally loved food, and this passport is a great way of showcasing Saint Paul’s flourishing culinary scene and diverse cultural corridors,” says Ava Diaz, communication and marketing manager for Visit Saint Paul.
Though most known among Asian cuisines, dumplings are bite-sized treats that span the globe. These delicious pockets of dough stuffed with sweet or savory filling come in all shapes and sizes, which many cultures have claimed techniques and versions of their own. From sambusas, tamales, potstickers, gyoza, raviolis, pierogies and more, passport holders are sure to find their fix at tasty hotspots in Saint Paul.
“One of my favorite things about Saint Paul is the ability to travel the world one plate at a time by
exploring our thriving international restaurant scene," says Mayor Melvin Carter. "This passport is an exciting opportunity for everyone to indulge in the many rich and cultural flavors of our globally inspired foods."
