Joni Griffith and Felix Aguilar Tomlinson return to the Celtic Junction stage to present Scenes from a Garden! Scenes from a Garden is an immersive musical experience centered around themes of life, growth, joy, and human connection (and gardens).

Scenes From a Garden is a touching and comedic piece that recontextualizes beloved and lesser-known songs from musical theatre, opera, and art song. By taking these songs out of their original context and grafting them together, we allow the garden to tell us a new story.

Scenes From a Garden is a musical journey that takes us from daybreak to starlight, featuring songs from The Fantasticks, Sweeney Todd, She Loves Me, and more, as well as vocal pieces by classic composers such as Gerald Finzi, Benjamin Britten, and Gabriel Fauré. If you are someone who craves a little connection in our overly busy and complex world, join us in the garden for some stillness, comedy, and community.

You will recognize Joni and Felix from the Celtic Junctions’ New Years’ Eve shows, Ghosts in Greasepaint and the Victorian Music Hall. They plan to bring the same boisterous humor and tenderness to this new production!

Scenes from a Garden is appropriate for all ages, and runs approximately 75-90 minutes with intermission.
