Overview

Alliance of Minnesota Chinese Organizations (AMCO) and sponsors announce a commemorative event, “Ode to Peace” marking 80 years since victory in WWII. The event features music, dance, speakers, and a photo exhibit. O’Shaughnessy Auditorium at St. Kates University, 2004 Randolf Ave, St. Paul will host activities.

11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. - Shen Pei, former artistic director will speak about her father, a Chinese General; the brother of one of the Flying Tigers, a U.S. Mercenary Group in China headed by General Claire Chennault, will also speak.

2 p.m. - Musical performances from The Plymouth Concert Band and dance performances from CAAM Chinese Dance Theater
