Overview
Annual event
The Germanic-American Institute (GAI) invites the community to celebrate the 67th annual Deutsche Tage (German Days), a free, family-friendly cultural festival taking place June 14–15 on the GAI grounds in the historic Summit Hill neighborhood.
This year’s theme, Spotlight on Switzerland, brings a unique twist to the long-standing celebration of Germanic heritage. Enjoy two days filled with lively music, authentic cuisine, and interactive cultural experiences for all ages.
Festival goers can sip a Paulaner beer or German wine, savor authentic European food, and browse handcrafted goods and cultural displays from local vendors. Traditional sounds will fill the air, including performances by the Bavarian Musikmeisters, The Squeezettes, B+ Brass Band, and the unmistakable call of the Alpenhorn.
Children and families can enjoy interactive storytelling and dance with The Narren and Jimi the Polka Pirate. Experience the fun of the Garden Gnome Hunt—an exciting adventure for kids—along with creative Saturday crafts for all ages with ArtStart!
Admission is free. A $10 wristband and valid ID are required for alcohol purchases.
Join us for a weekend of music, culture, and community as we celebrate the rich traditions of the Germanic world!
