Destination Winter Saint Paul

Plan a visit (or a few) to Destination Winter Saint Paul, the winter wonderland fun zone located at CHS Field. Skate beneath the ballpark lights on the Wells Fargo WinterSkate rink and glide down to second base on a 130-foot snow slide departing from the second story patio of the Securian Financial Club.

Sledding Hills

Bundle up and hit the snow-topped hills for some great Capital City sledding. There are an abundance of sledding hill options throughout the city - from steep, adventurous hills, to smaller, gentle hills.  

Saint Paul’s Winter Carnival

The Winter Carnival has been showcasing all that Saint Paul winters have to offer since 1886. You can enjoy live entertainment, parades, ice sculptures, and even a treasure hunt. 


Winter Beer Dabbler

Let the booze be your blanket at the Winter Beer Dabbler, the biggest outdoor beer festival in Minnesota. Listen to  live music while enjoying unlimited beer samples from over 180 different breweries and cideries.

Phalen Freeze Fest

Join us on Lake Phalen for an annual celebration of winter. There will be plenty of outdoor activities, including ice fishing, fire building, snow shoeing, and more. Free warm beverages will be provided. We also recommend you dress for the weather, as most of the activities are outdoors.

Get in the holiday spirit and check out numerous festive light displays around town. The magical vibes from the lights and the big tree in downtown's Rice Park make it a fan favorite.
