Here are 52 possibilities while you're here for the Super Bowl

 

1. Open in the winter and named best Minnesota attraction by USA Today, The Como Zoo and Conservatory is one of the last remaining free zoos in the country. 

2. The Science Museum of Minnesota, of Stranger Things fame, overlooks the Mississippi River and is a wonderland for kids and adults alike.  Check out the Sportsology exhibit or catch a film in the stunning Omnitheater.

3. Take a tour at the granddaddy of Minnesota craft breweries, Summit Brewing Company, and get a couple free drinks while you're there.

4. Take a Cave Tour, Gangster Bus Tour or one of the Caves' other offerings and learn about Saint Paul's era of crime and corruption at the Wabasha Street Caves.

5. Sink your teeth into a Twin Cities original with the Juicy Lucy, a cheeseburger with its cheese on the inside, at Casper & Runyon's Nook. Then check out Cretin Derham-Hall across the street where current and former NFL players Matt Birk, Michael Floyd, Ryan Harris, Seantrel Henderson, Walt Kiesling, Corbin Lacina, Steve Walsh and Chris Weinke went to high school.

6. Sample Minnesota's state fish, Walleye, at the Tavern on Grand, which claims to serve more of it than anywhere else in the country.

7. Tour the recently renovated and restored Minnesota State Capitol building.

8. See bronze statues of Saint Paul native Charles Schulz's Peanuts characters in Rice Park & Landmark Plaza.

9. Visit the childhood home of F. Scott Fitzgerald on Summit Avenue, his former hangout at The Commodore, check out the theater named after him or see his statue in Rice Park.

10. Downtown Saint Paul's castle, Landmark Center, will charm you with its architecture and beauty. At this cultural center, there's music, dance, theater, exhibitions, public forums, museums, tours, special events and more.

21. Make a stop to shop at Golden Fig Fine Foods, just like former president Barack Obama did, for some of their specialty food items.

36. Named the best place to take visitors from out of town, check out the Saint Paul Farmers' Market, which sets up at the Market House Collaborative during the winter months.

41. Union Depot is a must. Downtown's multimodal transportation hub is a beautiful site and can get you where you need to go on bus, light rail transit or Amtrak.
