Overview
On Wednesday, October 9, join the Above Average Tuba Quartet and a dozen guest tubists from the Twin Cities for an evening of tubas and beer in Fingal’s Cave, St Paul’s newest music performance facility. Proceeds from this evening will benefit Walker West Music Academy and Hopewell Music.
Come for an hour or stay for three. Some of the Twin Cities finest tubist will be celebrating the diversity and exuberance of life in the bass clef, while you enjoy some of the finest locally brewed beer.
The evening starts at 7PM with the Above Average Tuba Quartet, with Justin Schoenherr, Larry Carlson, Lee Dummer, and Roger Gomoll to get things started.
At 8:00, we welcome Grace Bergstrom to the stage, followed at 8:15 by Thomas Wells. At 8:30 Sage Kiritschenko plays, and at 8:45 the Mn Orch principal tubist, Steve Campbell, takes the stage with his talented students. The evening ends with the adventurous jazz tubist, Matt Healy at 9:15.
