The Lowertown Blues and Funk Festival returns to Mears Park with a night of soul and funk on Friday, July 20, followed by a day of blues on Saturday, July 21. It’s the Twin Cities’ largest, free blues festival—with an extra dose of funk.

Location: Mears Park

221 East 5th Street , Saint Paul, Minnesota

The Friday night lineup includes the Ohio Players, High & Mighty, and Free and Easy. Saturday’s blues lineup includes Marcia Ball, Chubby Carrier, Toronzo Cannon, Crow, Scottie Miller Band, and Mae Simpson Band on the Main Stage. A second stage, the Juke Joint Stage, will also feature the Big George Jackson and Everett Smithson Band. A limited amount of preferred seating in front of the stage is available for purchase.
