A Juneteenth celebration full of music and entertainment
Location: Boyd Park
Time: 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM

Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States. From its Galveston, Texas origin in 1865, the observance of June 19th as the African American Emancipation Day has spread across the United States and beyond. Today Juneteenth commemorates African American freedom and emphasizes education and achievement. Join us for music and entertainment on Saturday, June 19 at 3:00 p.m. in Boyd Park (St. Paul) to celebrate and acknowledge a period in our history that shaped and continues to influence our society today.
Entertainment includes T. Mychael Rambo, Singer Thomasina Petrus, Violinist Emilia Mettenbrink with Pianist Franco Holder, Walker West Youth Jazz Ensemble and more! Food trucks will be available to purchase refreshments.
hosted by YWCA St. Paul
