Ramsey County Dislocated Worker Program

The Dislocated Worker Program services are designed to help workers get back to work as quickly as possible and overcome difficult barriers to employment. An employment counselor will help with job search services, career counseling and training opportunities. Find Out More

 

Saint Paul Bridge Fund

In response to the economic impact to families and small businesses created by COVID-19, Mayor Carter's proposal for the Saint Paul Bridge Fund was adopted and amended on April 1, 2020 offering emergency relief to those in the community who need it most. Find Out More

The Bridge Fund for Families will be accepting applications on April 8, 2020 and be evaluated using a randomized lottery process. It provides direct housing assistance in the form of a one-time, $1,000 payment to an impacted household. The program’s goal is to prevent displacement of households impacted by COVID-19 job loss by providing immediate temporary housing assistance to complement state and federal aid and address the urgent needs of families prior to the deployment of such aid.

To be eligible for the COVID-19 Families First Relief Program, families must be able to demonstrate all of the following criteria:

  • Be a renter or homeowner in the City of Saint Paul
  • Have a minor child present in the household
  • Have a gross household income at or below 40% of Area Median Income prior to change in employment due to COVID-19
  • Have experienced a significant loss of income due to COVID-19

 

Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) 

March 24, the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) announced its first round of guidance to provide information to employees and employers about how each will be able to take advantage of the protections and relief offered by the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) when it takes effect on April 1, 2020. See the Fact Sheet for Employees

 

Restaurant Worker Relief Funds

National Restaurant Association Education Foundation

With financial support from Ecolab, the National Restaurant Association Education Foundation has put together a Restaurant Employee Relief Fund. This fund will open simple applications on 4/2/20 and will be providing workers with a one-time grant of $500 dispersed directly. Find Out More
