Does the rink close for bad weather? Daily skating at the Wells Fargo WinterSkate ice rink will not be canceled, unless the actual air temperature or wind-chill reaches -25 degrees F or colder or other severe weather conditions exist.

Does the rink close due to warm weather? Not usually. The rink is artificially-chilled which means that we have coils below the ice to keep it cold, even in warm temperatures.

Can I play hockey at the rink during open skating hours? No

Can we bring chairs or skate trainers on the ice to assist children in skating?  For safety reasons these are not allowed on the rink.

Who puts this all together?  Wells Fargo WinterSkate is presented by Visit Saint Paul, the City's Official Convention and Visitors Bureau.
