Meeting in Saint Paul means working with professionals who know what it takes to plan and execute a successful meeting. Our commitment is to help you create an efficient and successful event. Here’s what our Convention Services Department can do for you:
Preplanning Convention Program Assistance
Before your actual meeting in Saint Paul, Visit Saint Paul will make a formal services presentation to your planning committee to share valuable industry insight and advice. We also offer a customized “Promote Saint Paul” program, which includes a Saint Paul script, promotional video and brochures, stickers and a traveling display to help you introduce Saint Paul to prospective participants.

Media Resources
For your convenience, a directory of local print and electronic media is available to help you promote your event. We also offer a complete press kit, reference material on Saint Paul’s history, attractions and culture, as well as color slides and videos. Per your request, images can be sent electronically or transferred to disc or CD.
Convention Suppliers
There are two complimentary ways to gain assistance from the convention suppliers in Saint Paul. Visit Saint Paul can distribute a “Service Lead” about your needs to all qualified suppliers. The suppliers will then contact you directly with their information. If you’d prefer to contact the suppliers yourself, Visit Saint Paul can supply a Member Services Directory which lists area suppliers, from destination planning companies, decorators, airline contacts to transportation companies and computer rental companies. With this method, you can contact as many or as few suppliers as you like. Our Convention Services department will also be happy to work with you on any special requirements.
Visitor Information/Restaurant Reservation Services
Visit Saint Paul can arrange for a staffed information booth where attendees can pick up complimentary attraction brochures, Visitor Guides, maps, event calendars and special offers at attractions and restaurants. If your group uses RiverCentre and at least 700 rooms on peak night, we also offer a free restaurant reservation service. Attendees can review menus from member restaurants, have our staff make reservations for them and receive confirmation notices verifying their dining plans.
Convention Alert
This unique service offers the opportunity to prepare Saint Paul’s hospitality community for your arrival. Simply provide Visit Saint Paul with your schedule of events three weeks prior and we will share this information with key hospitality partners.
Delegate Housing
Convention groups occupying more than 700 rooms on peak night can utilize our efficient computerized housing service for a nominal reservation fee. Visit Saint Paul will use room blocks at hotels selected by your organization and assist in designing a custom reservation form complete with a map of hotels and facilities used. All hotel accommodation requests will be processed and acknowledgements sent through Visit Saint Paul.
Registration Assistance
Visit Saint Paul can recommend professional agencies trained to handle data entry, computer operations, cashiering and hospitality hosting. A three-week advance notice is recommended to guarantee staff availability.
Post Convention Wrap Up
To ensure that we have met your needs, Visit Saint Paul can host a post convention meeting to discuss the outcome of your meeting. We also offer surveys for planners and delegates, hotel reports and re-booking assistance.
