A Day At Landmark Center

8:30 am
Landmark Center Arrive at Landmark Center (75 West 5th Street, St. Paul) and enter through the 5th street entrance, turn right and stop by St. Paul’s Information desk, pick up information about upcoming programs, then walk across the beautiful Musser Cortile and stop by Anita’s Café to enjoy coffee and a warm pastry while perusing the new things you picked up. On your way to the elevators, stop by the Uncle Sam Exhibit to pick up a walking tour guide, and as you enjoy the building, experience this interactive interpretive exhibit, which gives visitors a glimpse into the federal courts, wartime activities, prohibition, Immigration and more that occurred in Landmark Center over the past 105 years.


9:00 am
Enjoy a tour of marvelous Landmark Center (call Diane Lewis, 651.292.3230 to reserve the
time), enjoy the unique architecture discover the history of its restoration and preservation, and famous and infamous personages. Gangster tours are also available (please ask for them specifically), our costumed guides adopt the personae of infamous St. Paul Gangster from the 1930s and whose path took them (perhaps unwillingly) into the Federal Court House (now Landmark Center)

10:00 am
Walk down one floor or take the elevator to the Landmark Center archives, which contain the building’s rich history including 150 years of postal service in Saint Paul.

10:30 am
Meander down the hall to The Schubert Club Museum of Musical Instruments featuring
historic instruments from bygone musical eras.

11:30 am
Make your way back to the first floor for a tasty lunch, check out Chef Jeff’s daily specials at Anita’s Café. If you are visiting on a Thursday, visit Courtroom 317 for The Schubert Club’s Sponsored Courtroom Concerts.

12:30 pm
Walk down the grand Cortile and take the elevator to the second floor and enjoy the Gallery of Wood Art featuring through April 18th, the Woodturning in Basic Black exhibit.

1:30 pm
Across from the Gallery of Wood Art is TRACES Museum of Midwestern WWII History.
Ongoing permanent exhibition: Stories, art, photographs and other documentation of Midwesterners'
encounters with Germans or Austrians during World War II.

2:15 pm
Stroll down the hall to The Schubert Club’s other museum the Gilman Ordway Manuscript
Collections housing an impressive array of correspondence and writings from music's most avid minds is located on the second floor.

3:30 pm
Take the elevator back to the first floor and enjoy the Ramsey County Historical Society’s
Ongoing exhibition: Henry P. Bosse's Views of the Upper Mississippi plus rotating exhibits about Ramsey County history, on display throughout the year.

4:00 pm
Board your bus and marvel at the amazing experience you had at beautiful Landmark Center.
