Saint Paul’s arts and music scene thrives throughout the year. From
cutting-edge galleries and funky concert venues to the Saint Paul Art Crawl,
Saint Paul is the epicenter of the Upper Midwest’s creative community.
Lowertown, in downtown Saint Paul’s southeast quadrant, is a vibrant artists’ quarter filled
with beautiful workspaces and galleries in former warehouses, hip cafés, and fine restaurants.
In the center of Lowertown is Mears Park. This trendy but tranquil park is the pulse of the Lowertown
music and entertainment landscape. The outdoor stage welcomes a variety of musical events annually,
including Twin Cities Jazz Festival, Lowertown Music Fest, Music in Mears, and Concrete
and Grass Music Festival.
