This end-of-summer tradition is always held the 12 days leading up to and through Labor Day. The 2014 Minnesota State Fair runs Aug. 21 - Sept. 1. Often referred to as the “Great Minnesota Get-Together,” the annual Minnesota State Fair is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the region. The fair attracts nearly 1.8 million guests annually. At the fair you'll be able to enjoy a vast array of food (on a stick!), fun, amusements, exhibits, music and more! Make sure to visit the new West End Market and Minnesota State Fair Heritage Center. The Fair is open daily: 6 a.m. to Midnight. Labor Day hours: 6 a.m. - 10 p.m.
The State Fair offers free Park & Ride service from 33 metro locations. Park your car, hop on a coach bus, and enjoy the ride right to the gates of the Great Minnesota Get-Together. Buses run from 8 a.m. to midnight and it's free, fast and fun! See fair website for a listing of lots.
